Majorca has been a popular tourist destination since the advent of the package holiday backing the sixties. A number of resorts are being built in the islands and one of the most popular of these is Palma Nova. Palma Nova was built a few kilometres away from the other popular resort, Magaluf, but with the increasing rate of development in the area, both resorts are now a run into each other. The resort provides a great number of attractions and things to do for all sorts of tourists, catering for as many different needs as possible. Not only is the place particularly popular for younger people due to its nightlife, the place has been cleaned up in recent years to become more family-friendly as well while retaining its famous reputation as a party place.
There are plenty of activities in Palma Nova and you certainly can’t get bored there. Some examples of the activities on offer a water sports such as windsurfing, pedal boats, snorkelling and scuba diving amongst a number of other things. About three kilometres away from Palma Nova, are two water parks which are in the neighbouring resort of Magaluf. You can also take a cruise in a glass- bottom boat or you can participate in a number of sports such as golf, tennis or cycling.
Palma Nova is a very busy and popular resort, mostly amongst British tourists. Due to this, there are a great deal of restaurants which cater to all different kinds of tastes. You can find an abundance of international cuisine and of course some local cuisine. You will have no difficulty finding accommodation there, so long as you book in advance and you can find something that suit your taste and budget. Remember, however, that the resort is quite seasonal an almost everything closes down for the winter.
Perhaps the best place to start is by going to your local travel agency and seeing if they have any special deals on offer. You’ll be able to save a considerable amount of money if you go slightly out of the season or you go last minute and find a last minute deal.
